InComPro works in partnership with Uniting Care Wesley Bowden to deliver the Financial Wellbeing Program (FWP) as part of the Community Services Support Program administered by the Department for Human Services. The program aims to alleviate the immediate impact of financial crisis or emergency as well as to build individual and community resilience to better handle the impact of adverse financial matters over the longer term.

The program also aims to improve financial capability, The program also aims to improve financial capability through developing as:

a combination of financial knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours necessary to make sound financial decisions, based on personal circumstances and financial resilience, broadly understood as the ability to access and draw on capabilities with extra resources and supports in times of financial adversity.

The program supports individuals, families and communities through five distinct service streams:

  • financial counselling – to address financial hardship and build capacity
  • emergency assistance – via goods and services, financial assistance or help with bills
  • prevention - via community and workforce education and potentially other innovative practices
  • connections – through warm referrals to other services, programs and community assist
  • timely triage – based on client need.
