Martinthi
Martinthi is an Aboriginal Kinship Care Program delivered in partnership with Uniting Care Wesley Bowden (UCWB).
Martinthi (pronounced mar-ten-di) is a Kaurna word meaning to embrace, to clasp, to hold. The program assesses, trains, advocates for and supports both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal kinship carers who care for Aboriginal children and young people who have been placed in their care by the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
Kinship carers are referred into Martinthi directly by the DCP so InComPro cannot accept outside referrals for this service. Existing kinship carers wishing to transfer to InComPro should speak to their DCP Social Worker or their Case Worker in the first instance.
